PESHAWAR, Jan 06 (Online): Election Tribunal (ET) has accepted appeal of former speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar and Hb declared his nomination papers correct.
Judge Justice Shakil Ahmad of ET heard the appeal plea of Asad Qaisar Saturday.
The counsel for the petitioner said Returning Officer (RO) rejected nomination papers of Asad Qaisar on the matter of party account. RO declared party account as Asad Qaisar personal account.
He said EC declared account as party account in foreign funding case.
The counsel for EC said yes it is absolutely clear that account is not in the name of Asad Qaisar. This is party account.
Tribunal declared Asad Qaisar nomination papers correct.
It is pertinent to mention here the nomination papers of Asad Qaisar were rejected from NA-19 Swabi KP.
