Tayyaba Gill victim of harassment records her statement against former chairman NAB

ISLAMABAD, Jan 06 (Online): Tayyaba Gill , victim of sexual harassment has recorded her statement in office of federal ombudsperson for protection against harassment of women.

Tayyaba Gill had filed petition against former chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal and others in 2022.
Chairperson Fauzia Waqar of federal Ombudsperson for protection against harassment of women at work place heard the case after over one year.

The petitioner Tayyaba Gill said in her statement that Javed Iqbal asked her to do immoral acts in connection with hearing of her application. Javed Iqbal blackmailed her. He threatened not to hear her case if she does not do immoral acts. Shahzad Salim registered false case against her at behest of Javed Iqbal and arrested her.

She also said that NAB investigation officer Imran Dogar and others arrested her and took her to Lahore where she was harassed. Imran Dogar along with other officers subjected her to gang-rape and made video of it.

She said her husband was asked to remain silent otherwise the video will be made viral.

She requested that stern action be taken against Javed Iqbal, Shahzad Salim, Imran Dogar and others.

The ombudsperson for protection of women against harassment issued notice to 12 persons including Javed Iqbal and directed them to appear before it in person on January 16.
