ISLAMABAD, JAN 13 (ONLINE): The record of foreign trips of Prime Minister (PM) could not be presented in Islamabad High Court despite court’s orders in case pertaining to Aafia Siddiqui release and return to Pakistan.
Dr Aafia Siddiqui is detained in US prison.
The court gave time till next week to file details of foreign visits of PM.
Court directed foreign office to ensure meeting of Dr Fouzia Siddiqui sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqui with Pakistan ambassador in US .
The case regarding release and return of Dr Aafia Siddiqui detained in US prison came up for hearing before justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq of IHC Monday.
Imran Shafiq counsel for Dr Fouzia Siddiqui appeared in the court.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) Munawar Iqbal Duggal could not appear being engaged in another court.
US has not given reply to the letter written by PM Shehbaz Sharif in connection with release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
The court remarked the next week is very crucial with reference to Dr Aafia Siddiqui case. Foreign ministry should cooperate with Dr Fouzia Siddiqui.
The record regarding PM foreign visits could not be presented despite court’s orders.
The court had ordered to file details of PM foreign visits on December 20.
Representative of foreign ministry requested the court foreign secretary is in China , therefore, details could not be filed. More time be given, he added.

Imran Shafiq, counsel for Dr Fouzia Siddiqui said Dr Fouzia Siddiqui sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqui has reached US. Dr Fouzia Siddiqui could not meet with Pakistan ambassador in US so far.
The court remarked foreign ministry should ensure meeting of Dr Aafia Siddiqui with Pakistan ambassador in US.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till January 24.
