ISLAMABAD, April 19 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notice to all respondents including interior secretary in the case regarding provision of details of the cases against Zain Qureshi, son of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and MNA besides seeking report within two weeks. The court has summoned report from chief commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad, IGs of all the four provinces and FIA.
The court has issue this order on Friday. The petition seeking details of the cases registered against son of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and MNA Zain Qureshi came up for hearing before justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir Friday. Syed Ali Bokhari counsel for Zain Qureshi appeared in the case.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir inquired there is objection on your petition how can this high court seek report from other provinces. How can we issue directives to other provinces from here. Counsel Ali Bokhari replied report was sought from other provinces by this court in Umar Ayub case.
The court inquired which bench had heard Umar Ayub case. Counsel for Zain Qureshi said chief justice had heard Umar Ayub case.
The court remarked you should file the copy of that order. We summon the details. Justice Arbab Tahir remarked is it in your knowledge that any case is registered in other provinces. Counsel Ali Bokhari said we had got bail in 15 cases from Rawalpindi and 2 cases from Faisalabad a day before.
IHC while issuing notice to interior secretary and other respondents sought report within two weeks.
The court has also sought report from IGs of all the four provinces, chief commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad and FIA.
The court removed registrar office objections on Zain Qureshi petition.
The court while summoning details of cases against Zain Qureshi adjourned hearing of the case for two weeks.
It is pertinent to mention here IHC had issued notice on April 5 to respondents and sought reply from them till April 29 on the petition filed by Zain Qureshi for going abroad. Zain Qureshi had filed petition in IHC on April 16 regarding provision of details of cases registered against him.
