Delimitation in Karachi may benefit MQM, harm PPP, Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD 31 August (Online): President of PML-N and former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that population census will lead to increase seats in Karachi which can benefit MQM Pakistan.

While talking to private TV channel Rana Sanaullah said that it is a national fortune that everyone agreed on census. Everyone knew that constituencies have to be demarcated after census. Now if anyone thinks any other slogan is more appropriate then put it.

He said that MQM was concerned about census and perhaps they are benefitting from them. Seats will increase in Karachi which is likely to harm PPP.

He said that some people are benefiting from constituencies in Khyber PakhtunKhwa (KPK). Those who are benefiting want delimitation of constituencies and those who are suffering want them not yet. The constitution and law require that delimitation of constituencies should be done now after approval of census.

Regarding the agreement with IMF, PMLN leader said that nation knows that we made great efforts. This agreement was delayed. We also negotiated with IMF and also made demand and also requested.

We kept demanding and requesting IMF to soften the terms. The agreement had been done and they used to say that we are not interested in what the name of Prime Minister (PM) was then and what is now.

Former Interior Minister said that we had to ratify the terms of agreement under great pressure. If we did not ratify the terms of agreement the country would have defaulted. We have saved country from huge danger and there is hardship. We have asked caretaker government to allow to pay electricity bill in installments.

Rana Sanaullah said to caretaker government that electricity bill will be reduced in winter therefore bill should be paid in installment now. The one who has a bill of RS 15000 cannot pay RS 15000 but he can pay RS 500o. Caretaker government consists of capable people and hopefully will provide relief to nation in this difficult time.

PML-N leader said that I do not know about Chairman PTI going out. If Hafiz Hamdullah has any information then he can talk about it. There have been cases of safe exit before this too therefore one has to be careful. If there is case against someone then it should be decided on merit and according to law.
