Court seizes properties worth Rs5000 billion for alleged financial fraud in UK

Islamabad – September 23 (Online): Islamabad’s Accountability Court (AC) on Thursday ordered to seize property worth 5000 billion rupees that belonged to suspects Nisar Afzal, Sagheer Afzal and family, for allegedly committing financial fraud in UK.

The Court in its verdict said that suspects may sell their properties, otherwise possessions would be seized, adding that comprehensive proofs of financial corruption have been found in case.

According to details, Accountability Court’s judge Muhammad Bashir noted that financial corruption was evident in the case, and it is crystal clear that assets have been made through implicit means.

Sources on Thursday revealed that NAB’s investigative officer’s statement has also been recorded in the case, and suspects are expected to sell the possessions away.

According to NAB, 11 bungalows have been seized in Islamabad’s costly F-sector, and land of high volume has also been possessed by the government.
