RAWALPINDI, JAN 02 (ONLINE): Judge Amjid Ali Shah of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No 1 Rawalpindi while suspending the proceedings for declaring Ali Amin Gandapur Chief Minister (CM) KP nominated in case registered police station Hassan Abdal has cancelled his arrest warrants in other cases including Police station Hassan Abdal case.
The court initiated this proceedings on receipt of bail orders in respect of CM KP from Peshawar High Court.
Lawyers panel led by Muhammad Faisal Malik counsel for Ali Amin Gandapur presented court’s orders and told PHC has approved protective bail of Ali Amin Gandapur in 32 cases till January 16. Due to it no justification remains there to declare him proclaimed offender or issue arrest warrants.
Upon it court suspended the proceedings to declare Ali Amin Gandapur proclaimed offencer besides cancelling arrest warrants of CM KP in Hassan Abdal case.
Zaheer Shah advocate from prosecution side was also present therein.
Hassan Abdal police had registered case of siege and arson, rioting, inference in the affairs of government and other clauses. But Ali Amin Gandapur was not appearing in the court.
ATC issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Ali Amin Gandapur on December 21 besides ordering to arrest and present him before it on January 21.
The court had launched proceedings to declare Ali Amin Gandapur proclaimed offender under section -87 of CRPC. However Ali Amin Gandpur had obtained protective bail from PHC on December 17.
Counsels for Ali Amin Gandapur presented PHC orders regarding approval of protective bail in the court.
The court cancelled arrest warrants of Ali Amin Gandapur besides suspending the proceedings to declare him proclaimed offender.
