Accountability Court seeks final arguments in kidney hill case

ISLAMABAD, Dec 06 (ONLINE): Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has sought final arguments from respondents on next hearing in Kidney Hills reference of fake bank accounts.

Kidney Hills reference came up for hearing before Judge Muhammad Bashir of AC Islamabad Saturday.

Senator Salim Mandiwala and other accused persons appeared in the court. NAB opposed the acquittal plea of Salim Mandiwala.

Counsel for Salim Mandiwala while giving arguments on the reply from NAB told the court that the reference does not fall in the jurisdiction of NAB following the promulgation of amendment ordinance. Private transaction does not fall in the jurisdiction of NAB after amendment ordinance.

If the matter had been related to taxation then it falls in the jurisdiction of NAB.

The court sought final arguments from the respondents on next hearing.
Senator has been granted exemption from permanent attendance. The court has adjourned the hearing of the case till December 15.
