18 women awarded for their outstanding performance

Lahore, March 16 (Online): Eighteen women, including Samia Raheel Qazi, Dr Alia Ehsan, famous actress Saba Pervez and hockey player Afshan Noorin, were awarded the “Women Award” for performing outstandingly in various fields.

The award conferring ceremony was held at Governor House Lahore on Wednesday.

The ceremony of distributing awards to women who have performed outstandingly in various fields was held.

18 women including Samia Raheel Qazi, Dr Alia Ehsan, famous actress Saba Pervez and hockey player Afshan Noorin were awarded the “Women Award”.

According to details, a special event was organized at Governor House Lahore by former MNA Onaza Ehsan in honor of the women who have shown outstanding performance in various fields. While the former MNA Onaza Ehsan was the Chief Guest at the ceremony in which former MNA Samia Raheel Qazi and other women were also present on the occasion.

Onaza Ehsan presented awards to former MNA Samia Raheel Qazi, famous actor Saba, Kiran Khan, former actress Sahiba, Hockey player Afshan Noreen, famed poet Sadaf, Sayem Ali Dada, Sadia Arshad, Amna Wattoo Kasuri, Rahat Bano, Fatima, Ayesha Hamid, Yasmeen Rehman, Saima Aftab, Shazia Ammar Meena, Ehsan Leghari and others were awarded for their outstanding performance in various sectors and also congratulated them.

Addressing the award ceremony, Onaza Ehsan said that Alhumdulilah, today Pakistani women are not only making their names in their own country but in different fields all over the world.

There is no doubt that for the development of any society it is necessary to ensure the protection of life and property of the women living there as well as make them strong and prosperous. She said that today women are advancing more successfully than men in all fields including medical and in the field of education too, our women are unparalleled, they are ahead of boys.

Onaza Ehsan further said that women who have made a name for themselves in various fields in Pakistan and abroad are our heroes. We all have a responsibility to encourage them as much as possible and the purpose of today’s program is to encourage women. We will not leave women alone at any level but will stand by them.

She said that those who prevent women from moving forward do not deserve any concession. Strict action should be taken against such people and the protection of the life of women is everyone’s responsibility.
