Washington: US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has established complete control over the Strait of Hormuz, while asserting that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been dismantled and its personnel are fleeing.
In a statement, President Trump said the strategic waterway was now entirely under American control and that people were describing the US Navy’s blockade as an “iron wall.”
“Iran can do nothing about this iron wall. We have eliminated the Revolutionary Guards, and they are fleeing,” Trump claimed.
Trump further alleged that Iran’s leadership was gripped by uncertainty and facing a severe shortage of funds.
“The best thing is that they have no money. Iran has nothing except fake news, while its inflation rate has reached 300 percent. Their situation will become even worse,” he said.
The US president added that Iran was no longer the “bully of the region” and vowed that Washington would maintain its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
