Tehran: Iran has indicated that it could prolong the ongoing war until the end of US President Donald Trump’s term while continuing to inflict losses on its adversaries.
Mohammad Reza, an adviser to the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said in an interview that Iran must build enough strength to deter its enemies from launching future attacks.
“One option is to prolong the war until the current US president’s term ends and continue inflicting losses on the enemy,” he said. “This would ensure that anyone considering an attack on Iran in the future understands that they will have to pay a heavy price.”
Mohammad Reza claimed that the United States was fighting the war without a clear strategy, announcing a new objective every two or three days.
“At times, they threaten to invade Kharg Island, while on other occasions they talk about reopening the Strait of Hormuz,” he said.
He added that the longer the conflict continues, the more battlefield experience Iran will gain. He also claimed that Iran produces more missiles each day than it uses in its military operations.
