UNITED NATIONS: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again raised the Kashmir issue during his address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), stating that the resolution of the Kashmir issue must be in accordance with UN resolutions.
Stating that the resolution of the Kashmir issue is indispensable for peace in South Asia, President Erdoğan urged that all disputes, including Kashmir, should be resolved under the UN Charter, while stressing meaningful dialogue for the resolution of India-Pakistan disputes.
Reflecting the aspirations of the Kashmiri people once again, the Turkish President lent strong support to Pakistan’s stance and active diplomacy, winning the hearts of Pakistanis with his forceful stance presented in the presence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Reiterating Türkiye’s solidarity, President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye stands with its Kashmiri brothers today as always.
According to political analysts, the Turkish President presented the case of all oppressed nations, including Palestine, at the General Assembly, while highlighting the inability of the United Nations to play its role.
