DHAKA , APRIL 21 (ONLINE): Bangladesh has appealed to Interpol to issue red notice against fugitive Sheikh Hasina Wajid.
According to media reports, Bangladeshi police have started international proceeding by requesting the interpol to issue red notice against Hasina Wajid.
Police have filed formal application with Interpol to issue red notice of former Prime Minister (PM) Hasina Wajd and 12 others.
Bangladeshi police have taken this step on the request of International Crimes Tribunal.
Police said application for red notice has been given on the basis of court’s orders and solid evidence. It is aimed at bringing all the fugitive accused including Hasina Wajid to dock at international level.
It is pertinent to mention here chief prosecutor of international crimes tribunal had sought help from Interpol in November. Upon it national central bureau has launched this formal proceedings.
Sheikh Hasina Wajid is facing allegations of different crimes and brutalities.
India has given refuge to Sheikh Hasina Wajid at present. Swiftness is being seen for her arrest at international level.
