Intermittent rain with snowfall on hills increases intensity of cold

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (Online): Intermittent rain in different parts of the country with snowfall on the hills has increased the intensity of cold.

A spokesperson of met office told our correspondent that various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Balochistan, Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir are receiving rains.

He said the highest rain of 30 mm was recorded in Kalat followed by 22 mm in Peshawar and 15 mm in Zhob.

The spokesperson said the highest snowfall of nine inches has been recorded in Malam Jaba. Murree has received four inches of snowfall over the last twenty-four hours.

The spokesperson said the intensity of current spell of rain and snowfall will increase tonight and it will persist till Monday morning.
