ISLAMABAD, May 29 (APP):Pakistan Men’s National Football Team Head Coach Nolberto Solano has named a 23-man squad for the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament, to be held in Male, Maldives from June 1 to 10.
The team is set to depart on May 30. Pakistan will lock horns against hosts Maldives, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the four-nation tournament, which will be played at the National Football Stadium, said a press release issued here on Friday.
The Shaheens open their campaign against Bangladesh on 1 June before facing Maldives on 4 June and Afghanistan on 7 June, with the final scheduled for 10 June.
The squad sees the return of several experienced internationals, including Yousuf Butt, Easah Suliman, Mamoon Moosa, Muhammad Fazal, Ali Shah and Ali Niazi. Adil Nabi also features in the final selection, while Ali Khan receives his maiden call-up to the senior national side.
The squad included – Goalkeepers: Saqib Hanif, Yousuf Butt, Hassan Ali; Defenders: Abdullah Iqbal, Mohammad Fazal, Abdullah Shah, Easah Suliman, Mohib Afridi, Mamoon Moosa, Ali Niazi, Haris Zeb; Midfielders: Adil Nabi, Rahis Nabi, Alamgir Ghazi, Hayyan Khattak, Ali Agha, Otis Khan; Forwards: Shayak Dost, Umer Nawaz, Ali Shah, Ali Khan, Samad Arshad, Harun Hamid.
