ISLAMABAD – September 12 (ONLINE) Cricketing suddenly becomes an easy game for players who are booted out of the team for their poor performances, controversies, or off-the-field antics. One such example is Ahmed Shehzad, who has found himself in yet another incident.
Pakistan, who faced off against Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup 2022 completely abandoned the pressure which they had established after downing Sri Lanka 58-5. Rajapaksha came to their rescue with an unbeaten 71 to power the Lankas to an unimaginable 171-run target.
During Rajapaksha’s innings, there was a chance to get rid of him. However, the moment was turned into comedy as Shadab and Asif collided and the ball sailed over the rope for a six.
Former opener Ahmed Shehzad took to Twitter to comment on the matter in a sarcastic manner, which was also not taken well by the fans who were already triggered over the dropped catch.
“Boys, its as simple as “mera haiiiiiiii” or “its miiiiiiiiiine”. This has happened multiple times this tournament,” Shehzad wrote.
Although Shehzad had a valid point as this was the third instance Pakistan had made such an error and avoided injuries on all three occasions, his remarks would have held more value had he not made blunders throughout his career either. Those blunders were conveniently pointed out by the fans.
