Faryal Makhdoom calls UK government a ‘dictatorship’

ISLAMABAD-Faryal Makhdoom has labelled the UK government a ‘dictatorship’ over its new travel restrictions for those travelling to and from Dubai. Recently, it was revealed the UAE had been removed from the UK’s travel corridor list, and travellers returning to the UK from there will have to quarantine following a 52 per cent surge in the number of COVID -19 cases there. Slamming the decision on Snapchat, Amir Khan’s wife, 29, who flew to the city in December despite suffering from COVID-19 symptoms, hit out: ‘The British government has failed the UK. Celebrities are currently rushing back to the UK from Dubai before Britain forces international arrivals to have a negative Covid result up to 72 hours before they fly back.From Friday they will need to have a negative Covid test – using a PCR test or on some occasions a LAMP or lateral flow test – from up to 72 hours before their flight.
