WASHINGTON, JULY 16 (Online): World Bank (WB) has accorded approval to provide 260 million dollars assistance to Pakistan.
WB will provide this assistance for Punjab province which will be spent for uplift of agriculture sector and projects related to small farmers.
According to press release issued by WB the small farmers who are affected by climate change will have to move to technology. The water utilization will have to be improved and income of small farmers will have to be enhanced.
This was also told that the agriculture sector is backbone of Pakistan economy. About 190000 small families will benefit from this assistance and water supply process to 1400000 million acres land will be improved.
Work on 60 projects of 14.2 billion dollars is underway in collaboration with World Bank.
