PIA bears 36.77 billion losses in only last 3 months

LAHORE 31 May (Online): National airline beard Rs36.77 billion loss within the short period of three months.
Deficit increased due to increased price of fuel and dollar and uncontrolled expenses.

Pakistan International Airline (PIA) issue quarterly result of the quarter ended on March 2023.
According to report PIA income was 59 billion Pkr from January to March.
24 million increased this year’s quarter as compared to last year this quarter.PIA also got 5billion grass profit three month earlier.

Representative told 28.55 billion were spent in regard of salaries and ongoing expenditures.
Last year in same quarter PTI spent 21 billion Pkr on salaries and ongoing expenditures.

According to authorities, in March 2023 PIA bought 25.6 billion fuel. Big part in increased loss is due to double price of fuel expenses. Fuel and dollar uncontrolled price also is a reason behind loss.
PIA per share loss increased from 2.60pkr to 7.2 Pkr.
