LAHORE, February 21 (Online): The notification regarding fixation of price of medicines has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).
The petition has been filed by a citizen Muhammad Aslam making federal government and others respondents.
The petitioner took the plea the care taker government issued notification against law for fixing the prices of medicines. The prices of medicines will increase after notification.
It was further said in the petition government is removing the section of fixing prices of medicines from drug act. Care taker government does not have these powers. Democratic government is coming and this step can be taken only by it.
The petitioner requested the present notification runs contrary to law and constitution. The court should order to suspend the notification till the final decision of this petition.
