LAHORE, Feb 19 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed the petition seeking removal of PTI from the list of political parties.
The petition seeking removal of PTI from list of political parties came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Baqar Ali Najafi Monday.
The petitioner Afaq Ahmad advocate while making chairman Election Commission (EC) and secretary EC respondents took the plea EC has declared PTI intra party election illegal. Election symbol has been withdrawn from PTI;.. No office bearer of the party is there and no party in the name of PTI exists in EC. Therefore, court should order to remove PTI from list of political parties besides declaring PTI elected senators as independent senators.
The court dismissed the petition declaring it non maintainable.
