LAHORE, Nov 13 (Online): Accountability Court (AC) Lahore has declared Chuahdhry Moonis Elahi proclaimed offender in Gujarat corruption case.
Judge Nasim Ahmad Virk took up for hearing petition filed by NAB Monday.
NAB took the plea Chaudhry Moonis Elahi has neither been arrested nor has he joined investigation. The court has issued non bailable arrest warrants of Chaudhry Moonis Elahi. The court should order to declare him proclaimed offender.
The court declared Chaudhry Moonis Elahi proclaimed offender besides summoning record of his properties.
Moonis Elahi is charged with receiving alleged kickbacks in development projects and causing loss to national exchequer.
The court has started the proceedings of seizing the properties.
NAB Lahore is investigating into corruption of over one billion rupees.
