RAWALPINDI, Jan 24 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench has imposed ban on cutting trees and mountains in the areas of Murree, Kahuta and Kotli Sattian.
The court has summoned additional secretaries environment on January 31.
A single bench of LHC led by Justice Jawad Hassan took up for hearing a petition filed by Sardar Taimor Aslam here Monday.
The court inquired during the hearing of the case what steps have been taken by federal and Punjab governments for the protection of mountains. Is any authority working for the protection of the mountains in Murree, Kahuta and Kotli Satian.
The court while issuing notice to the respondents adjourned the hearing of the case till January 31.
