ISLAMABAD, Jan 04 (Online): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has remarked as to why charity job policies are made to provide jobs to the children of government employees on priority basis.
He further observed such policies should be thrown out. Constitution is above every thing. The constitution has been trampled by making such policies. Be courageous and write to Prime Minister (PM) this policy is wrong.
The CJP gave these remarks while presiding over a 3-memnber bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of hearing of case pertaining to appointments in Post Office Islamabad Thursday.
The CJP Qazi Faez Isa inquired has PM such powers to change policy on his own. Why the charity job policies are framed to provide jobs to the children of government employees on priority basis.
The CJP remarked the constitution was trampled by working out such policies. Be courageous and write to PM this policy is wrong. Why should job be given to children of only government employees on priority basis?
The CJP remarked are the other children not Pakistanis.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) told the court this policy was worked out during previous government term.
The CJP while moving to him remarked then again say that the former government was above constitution.
The CJP remarked such policy should be thrown out. Constitution is above every thing.
AAG requested the court to allow him to seek directives from government.
The court remarked we summon Attorney General (AG).
The court while issuing notice to AG adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.
