Removal of Imran Khan as chairman PTI: EC reserves judgment

ISLAMABAD, OCT 10 (ONLINE): Election Commission (EC) has reserved judgment on the application seeking removal of Imran Khan from office of chairman PTI.
According to media reports, the application was received in EC for removing Imran Khan from chairmanship of PTI.
The counsel of the petitioner Khalid Mehmood Khan appeared in the court during hearing of the case. He said PTI chairman has been convicted in Toshakhana case. Supreme Court (SC) order is there in Nawaz Sharif case.

Member EC Sindh inquired what is there in election act with reference to it.

The counsel replied this clause was there in political parties order. This clause is not in election act.

The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) inquired if chairman PTI appeal is accepted in high court today then what will happen.

The counsel replied if appeal is accepted then chairman PTI will return to his office.

The CEC inquired what is difference between Nawaz Sharif case and this case.

The counsel replied Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by SC while EC and trial court gave decision against chairman PTI.

Later EC reserved judgment on the application seeking removal of Imran Khan from office of chairman PTI.
