MUMBAI Sep 26 (Online): Before the ICC ODI World Cup, the Indian media revealed the challenges faced by their own batsmen and said that the Indian batsmen are facing the challenge of playing left-handed fast bowlers.
Apart from Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, fast bowlers from other teams will trouble the Indian batsmen.
Earlier, along with Shaheen Afridi, Mitchell Starc and Trent Boult have also troubled the Indian batsmen.
According to Indian reports, Indian batsmen have not forgotten Shaheen Afridi’s bowling in Dubai and Melbourne, with left-hander Mohammad Amir starting to trouble the Indian top-order in the 2017 Champions Trophy final. The Indian top order lacks confidence in front of the left-arm fast bowlers.
New Zealand’s Trent Boult caused trouble for the Indian batsmen in the semi-final of 2019. Apart from Shahin Afridi, Trent Boult and Mitchell Starc, other bowlers can also cause trouble.
England’s Race Topple and Bangladesh’s Sharaful Islam will also be a challenge for the Indian batsmen.
England’s Sam Curran and South Africa’s Marco Jensen will also pose a challenge for the top order.
These bowlers have troubled India’s top order in the past with their swing and yorkers.
