ISLAMABAD, SEP 21 (ONLINE): Contempt of court notice has been issued to Raziq Sanjarani brother of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani.
The notice was issued by Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday.
It has been said in the notice that Raziq Sanjarani should file reply to the notice and appear before the court on September 22 in person.
A written order regarding contempt of court has been issued by Justice Babar Sattar of IHC.
It has been said in the order government allotted type one residence to Raziq Sanjarani illegally. Type one residence is allocated for officers of grade 21 and 22.
Raziq Sanjarani was allotted type one residence as MD Saindak Metals Limited. Secretary ministry of housing failed to tell how Raziq Sanjarani is entitled to type one residence.
One Sumera Nazir had filed application in high court making ministry of housing and works as respondent.
Sanjarani kept on explaining his stance despite court’s orders. Court has sought reply from Sanjarani as a respondent. However he kept on not accepting the court’s jurisdiction persistently. He has tried to prove him true by filing affidavit. He did not accept court’s orders of September 1 and 15. He kept on declaring himself entitled to the residence. High court should issue him show cause notice and explanation be sought from him that as to why he did not comply with the orders of court. As to why proceedings be not initiated against him under contempt of court law.
The court adjourned the hearing of September 22.
