Complaint against five judges including CJ designate Qazi Faez Isa filed in SJC

ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (Online): Complaint has been lodged against five judges including Chief Justice designate Qazi Faez Isa in Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).

Before taking oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) a complaint has been lodged against designate CJ Qazi Faez Isa in SJC under article 209 of the constitution.

The other judges against whom complaint has been filed in SJC include Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi of Supreme Court (SC), Justice Amin ud Din Sheikh, Chief justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Amir Hussain Bhatti and Judge LHC Justice Ali Zia Bajwa.

Separate stance has been taken in the complaint with regard to every judge among five judges.

SC lawyer Hashim Sabir Raja has filed the complaint.

He has taken plea in the complaint that chief justice designate Qazi Faez Isa has not provided details of property of his wife. There is no doubt that Qazi Faez Isa being a judicial official has not provided details of accounts of his wife from the date of his becoming judge of Balochistan High Court so far. Therefore complaint against him be accepted and proceedings be initiated against him. He should be stopped from working.

The complainant has complained against Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi that he nullified the sentence awarded to former president Pervez Musharraf in high treason case due to alleged deal with the establishment. This has ridiculed the court. Instead of removing him from the post of judge he has been made as judge of SC.

Through his complain the complainant has tried to inform that Chief Justice of LHC is allegedly behind the appointment of his relatives as law officers. The other two judges have allegedly obtained membership of Gymkhana.

The complainant has requested that proceedings as per law be initiated against all these judges.
