I came back to Pakistan to be a part of politics, Reham Khan

Karachi SEPTEMBER 08 (Online): EX wife of Former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and British journalist of Pakistani origin Reham Khan said that I have come to Karachi with the intention of becoming a part of politics because there is politics in everything.

Women have been given very limited opportunities within the major political parties in Pakistan she said this in an interview here.

Reham Khan said that “if I feel in a political party that it provides ample opportunities to women then I will definitely think of joining it. That’s why we have come to Karachi.

On question about forming a political party she said that I have no lobby and no means to form a political party but I think existing political parties should have an option to give women a chance which is not there.

Recently she revealed about her third marriage that after her 2nd divorce she initially thought that she would never marry a Pakistani man again.

Reham Khan said that our love story is so boring that our family advised us not to tell real story to anyone because especially the Pakistani youth will not find this story interesting.

She said that the main reason for marrying Bilal was that I had good conversation with him. Both of us can easily talk to each other for long periods of time. Both of us never stop talking and we proposed each other for marriage in conversation.

Reham Khan said that before marrying Bilal, I had seen divorce papers as evidence.

Reham Khan said that marrying a younger man is not a new thing and many people besides me have had such marriages but they are not public figures.

I think if Bilal had not stood firm on the decision of marriage maybe other people would have treated me differently. People treat me with respect today because Bilal decided to choose me in front of everyone.
