Cipher case: Hearing of chairman PTI bail plea adjourned till Sep 04

ISLAMABAD, Sep 02 (Online): Hearing of bail plea of Imran Khan chairman PTI has been adjourned till September 04 in cipher case.

Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqernain of Special secret court held in-camera hearing of Imran Khan bail plea Saturday.

Judge Abual Hasnat remarked “I had said to Imran Khan during hearing of case in jail I will go on merit.

According to sources Babar Awan and Suleman Safdar counsels for Imran Khan gave arguments on the bail plea of chairman PTI.

Suleman Safdar said hindrance be not created for counsels of chairman PTI in Attock jail. Whenever we went to Attock Jail the lawyers had to walk on foot for about one and half kilometer distance. Petition is filed against hearing of case in Attock jail.
Sources said PTI lawyers requested the court to hear the arguments on bail plea of chairman PTI.

Special prosecutor FIA opposed to hear the arguments on chairman PTI bail plea.

As per sources, Special prosecutor FIA while raising objection over the petitions filed by PTI legal team in Islamabad High Court requested that hearing of the case be adjourned.

Sources said the FIA prosecutor said Chairman PTI had filed application against this court in High court.

Intezar Panjutha counsel for Chairman PTI said we withdraw the petitions from high court. High court did not give stay in connection with bail plea.
FIA prosecutor said case has been adjourned and now nothing can be done.

The judge of special secret court adjourned the hearing of chairman PTI bail plea till September 04 after hearing the arguments of the respondents.
