Toshakhana case: IHC suspends Chairman PTI sentence, orders to release him

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while suspending sentence of chairman PTI in Toshakhana case has ordered to release him.
After hearing the arguments of respondents, IHC had reserved judgment on the petition seeking suspension of sentence of chairman PTI in Toshakhana case.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC announced short verdict and accepted chairman PTI plea regarding suspension of his sentence in Toshakhana case.

IHC bench comprising CJ Aamir Farooq and justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri announced the reserved judgment.

The court said to PTI lawyers that written decision will be announced later and reasons for suspending the sentence will be given.

IHC suspended the verdict announced by trial court on August 05.

The court ordered chairman PTI to file surety bonds worth one lakh rupees.
