Asia Cup: The Federal Cabinet approved the deployment of Army, Rangers for security

Islamabad Aug 26 (Online): The Federal Cabinet approved the deployment of Army and Rangers for the security of the Asia Cup.

According to the sources, approval was obtained from the federal cabinet through the circulation of the summary of the interior ministry.

According to government sources, the deployment of the Army and Punjab Rangers for the Asia Cup will take place from August 27 to September 6, in which the deployment of the Punjab Rangers will be in the second tier QRF mode, while the deployment of the Pakistan Army will be in the third tier QRF mode.

According to government sources, special forces will be on standby for the security of the Asia Cup.

It should be noted that 4 matches of the Asia Cup starting from August 30 are scheduled in Pakistan, out of which one match will be held at Multan Cricket Stadium and 3 matches will be held at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
