IHC admits for hearing petition seeking sacking of civil judge Asim Hafeez in Rizwana torture case

ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has admitted for hearing the petition seeking termination of civil judge Asim Hafeez from service in house maid Rizwana torture case.

The court has issued notice to federal government and advocate general office for assistance.

Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq remarked federation should see about children torture and child labor matters.

The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by CJ IHC Aamer Farooq Wednesday.

The CJ IHC remarked detailed petition has come in this regard. Civil judge matter although is on administrative side but we will see it too on judicial side.

Citing to Tayyaba torture case the CJ IHC remarked earlier several incidents including Tayyaba torture case have come to open .

State counsel requested the court to provide copy of petition in connection with preparations for notice.

The hearing of the case was adjourned for indefinite period.

Wife of Asim Hafeez is on judicial remand while civil judge Asim Hafeez has been made OSD by Lahore High Court.
