Saudi Arabia has appointed a non-resident ambassador for Palestine

Jeddah Aug 13 (Online): Saudi Arabia appointed a non-resident ambassador for the Palestinian territories.

According to the statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the current Saudi ambassador to Jordan, Nayef Al-Sudairi, will carry out this responsibility. He will also serve as the Consul General for occupied Jerusalem.

Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, Naif al-Sudairi has presented his credentials at the head office of the Palestinian Embassy in Amman.

According to Arab media, this appointment is on behalf of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince to strengthen relations with the Palestinian people and to strengthen it in all fields. It is an important step towards action on the desire to promote the relations.

On the other hand, Majdi Al-Khalidi, advisor to the Palestinian president, said that he welcomes this appointment; it helps to strengthen the stable and solid brotherly relations of the two countries.
