Chairman JKSM demands international probe into HR violations and Indian war crimes in IIOJ&K.

Islamabad (PNI) Chairman of Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat has demanded international probe into HR violations, War crimes, arbitrary killings and forced disappearance by the hands of Indian occupation forces in IIOJ&K.

In a statement issued here in Islamabad today Chairman JKSM also prayed and paid glorious tributes to the martyrs of Gaw Kadal Masscre of 21 Jan 1990, when Indian occupation forces
opened fire on peaceful protestors.

“Kashmiri nation has paid with blood for the freedom of our motherland, but never surrendered or bent before the military might of India, Freedom movement is strong and thriving because of these sacrifices, and the day is near when Kashmir will be free from Indian occupation.” Bhat added.

Chairman JKSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat further said that on 21st Jan 1990 Indian troops had killed more than 52 innocent people by resorting to indiscriminate firing on peaceful demonstrators in the Gaw Kadal area of Srinagar. The demonstrators were protesting against the molestation of several women by troops, the previous night. But after 33 years till now the victims are awaiting and demand for justice to no vail.

Chairman JKSM further added that since 1989 Indian occupation forces have committed worst Human Rights violations in Kashmir. Since then, more than 96,163 innocnets are killed, 72,82 are killed in custody, 165,428 civilians arrested, 110,49 structures were destroyed/ arsoned, while 22,954 women are widowed, 11,256 molested and gang raped.

Chairman JKSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat said that its an eye opener for the developed world how India is crushing dissent, Humanity, and breaking all International and Humanitarian norms in IIOJ&K. Kashmir is the issue of humanity, Its high time UN, OIC, P5, EU, SCO and all other International Organizations and NGOs must raise voice of voiceless Kashmiris and demand India to stop HR violations, demilitarize IIOJ&K and start the process of plebiscite.
