Islamabad, November 03, (Online): Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) member National Assembly and member NA Standing Committee on health, Dr Zahra Wadood Fatmi supported the demand of Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) candidates to delay the exam owing to recent flood devastation and alleged perplexing plan of action of Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
“It is very unfortunate situation that was faced by MDCAT aspirants, when students contact me to raise the voice on MDCAT delay and many other concerns, I always want to be a voice for students and entertained them” said MNA Fatemi in an exclusive interview with Online.
She maintained that students are facing mental distress due to the confused statements of PMC regarding question bank and Provincial centers.
“If PMC wants to postpone the MDCAT exams, keeping in view of current political scenerio, what are the hurdles to delay the MDCAT now”, she raised a question.
While she also appealed the PMC officials to look up the matter of MDCAT aspirants and accepted the demands of MDCAT candidates.
When contacted, a PMC spokesperson said that final decision couldn’t taken by concerned authorities, however he said that negotiations and considerations are in progress on MDCAT delay issue.]
He said that final decision will be taken by President PMC, Dr Noshad Ahmad Sheikh, and when decision will be taken, we will update the decision publically and on the PMC official website.
