ISLAMABAD, Sep 08 (Online): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf s (PTI) Shakoor Shad has challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC) acceptance of his resignation as Member of National Assembly (MNA).
Shakoor Shah who was elected as MNA from Lyari on PTI ticket has said in his petition “ I have not resigned from my National Assembly (NA) seat. Signatures from 123 MNAs were obtained on the resignations written by a computer operator at PTI’s head office.
He said that the letter did not address the lower house speaker, and did not have a name or date on it.
PTI leader said these resignations are for maintaining party discipline. We signed resignation to show solidarity with party chairman Imran Khan and for political purposes.
He argued in his petition that acceptance of resignations is violation of the court’s decision.
He prayed the court to suspend election schedule and nullify the notification regarding vacation of his seat
