ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on Tuesday visited different parts of the federal capital to review the overall law and order situation, field deployment and police preparedness in view of a possible law and order situation.
An official told APP that senior police officers accompanied the IGP during the visit and briefed him on the security situation and ongoing police operations across the city.
IGP Sohail met officers and personnel deployed on security duty and inspected arrangements at different points.
He also reviewed the operational preparedness and response mechanism of ICT Police and directed officers to remain alert to deal effectively with any attempt to disturb peace and order in the capital.
Sohail directed the police to use all available resources to protect the lives and property of citizens and maintain a peaceful environment in Islamabad.
He stressed that field officers and personnel should remain vigilant and ready to respond promptly to any situation.
