ISLAMABAD – July 31 (ONLINE) A special mushaaira (a gathering where poets recite their poetry) was held at International Islamic University Islamabad, in connection with Independence Day.
The Mushaaira, hosted by IIUI’s Urdu department, was attended by famous female poets of the country.
All the female poets presented their fresh poetry in accordance with the Independence Day and the current situation of the country. Through their poetry, the poets paid tribute to the ancestors for their sacrifices and urged the present generation to follow their footsteps. The female poets not only recited poems highlighting the importance of the country but they also recited their famous poetry on the insistence of the audience.
