Multan Sultans won the second match, defeating Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets

Karachi (PNI) In the third match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets and won their second consecutive match in the event.

The 150-run partnership match between Multan Sultans openers Mohammad Rizwan and Shaun Masood proved to be a difference.
Shaun Masood was dismissed for 83 and captain Mohammad Rizwan for 69, while Riley Russo, who scored five runs, also returned to the pavilion.

Sohaib Maqsood played a role of 20 runs in bringing the match to the winning line but he too got out 16 runs earlier.
When Multan Sultans needed 16 runs in the last over to win, Khushdal Shah helped the team to victory in a nerve-wracking contest with the help of 3 consecutive fours and a six.
For Lahore Qalandars, captain Shaheen Afridi stood out with 3 wickets while Haris Rauf and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.

Batting of Lahore Qalandars:
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 206 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
For the Qalandars, Fakhr Zaman played a smoky innings of 76 runs while Kamran Ghulam (43) and Mohammad Hafeez (16) were all out.
In the closing moments of the innings, Rashid Khan batted aggressively and scored 17 runs off 4 balls.
From Multan Sultans, Imran Tahir, Khushdal Shah, David Valle, Shahnawaz Dahani and Ehsanullah took one wicket each.

Toss:
In this match being played at the National Stadium in Karachi, Multan Sultans decided to field first after winning the toss against Lahore Qalandars.
On this occasion, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said that there is no pressure of the match, our bowling is very good.
