Pak Aid organized free medical camps in different villages of Gujjar Khan

(Islamabad – December 16, 2021)
PakAID organized 10 free medical camps in 25 villages around 6 UCs of Gujjar Khan, provided free treatment check-ups, Ultrasound tests and free medicines to about 4000 poor patients and about 600 people were vaccinated. There are five more camps are being organized now.

These medical camps provided free medical treatment and vaccination for Covid-19, measles and rubella vaccination and polio drops. Whereas the tests for diabetes, blood pressure ultrasound for diagnosing gynaecological diseases and free medicines are also provided. 

PakAID also set up a mobile health unit with its health staff,   two ambulances are provided to pick up and drop off the disabled and sick patients from their homes. 

Camps’ hours were from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Th Government of Punjab Health Department has facilitated these camps by setting vaccination booths and providing medical teams. 

Another main objective of these medical camps is to raise awareness of the local communities about public health, disease prevention and to motivate them to adapt a healthy lifestyle.  People of all ages attended these medical camps, a large number of women, children and the elderly from nearby Afghan refugees camp were also examined by doctors, vaccinated and given free medicines.  People were very happy on this occasion and were thanking PakAID.  These medical camps were also attended by local dignitaries, elected representatives, volunteers and media journalists.
