US Army becomes top trend after its forces withdrawal from Afghanistan

Islamabad August 31 (Online): The US withdrawal from Afghanistan became top trend on twitter in Pakistan on Tuesday as last US soldier left Afghanistan soil on Tuesday midnight.

According to details, US forces have completed their evacuation from Kabul airport as Taliban celebrated victory, saying that “Afghanistan was free and independent now”.

Pakistanis, on August 31, took to twitter and expressed their views about the latest development in neighboring country, some mocking US troops for leaving Afghanistan while some showing pleasure over US exit.

“Then when will you come again?” asked Er Abdul Haq Shah, posting a picture of US C130 plane, flying over the Kabul airport.

A twitter user Afzal, while sharing the pictures of last US and Russian soldiers who left Afghanistan soil wrote, “The two remarkable images of the last soldier of two super powers exit from Afghanistan.”

Umar Ishaque Butt shared a video of Taliban flying a US chopper and captioned it as “The best driving I have seen so far.”

It is pertinent to mention here that from Prime Minister to a commoner, Pakistanis have been quite vocal and positive US exit from Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, during a ceremony on August 17, had said that Afghan people ‘broke the chains of slavery.’
