Contempt of court plea filed in IHC for not implementing larger bench order for arranging meetings with Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD, APRIL 03 (ONLINE): Contempt of court plea has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) for not implementing larger bench decision in connection with arranging meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail.

Contempt of court plea has been filed by opposition leader in Senate and PTI leader Shibli Faraz, Suleman Akram Raja, Shoaib Shaheen and others.
Interior secretary, home secretary Punjab and superintendent Adiala Jail have been made respondents in the petition.
The petition said larger bench gave decision on March 24 for arranging meeting with Imran Khan. According to this decision arranging meetings on Tuesday and Thursday is must. But jail authorities are not implementing this decision.
The petitioners through the petition has prayed the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against jail authorities and others.
