ISLAMABAD, FEB 13 (ONLINE): Cause list of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) bench has been cancelled.
The CJP Yahya Afridi will do chamber work.
On the other hand new judges will take oath on Friday.
40 cases were fixed for hearing before the bench comprising CJP Yahya Afridi and justice Shahid Wahid.
Bench 2 presided over by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah heard the cases in bench 1.
According to sources CJP Yahya Afridi will do chamber work.
The schedule of oath taking ceremony of new judges in Supreme Court (SC) has been changed. Oath taking ceremony of new judges will take place today (Friday).
It is pertinent to mention here the oath taking ceremony of 6 permanent judges and one temporary judge was to be held on Thursday but it could not take place due to late issuance of notification regarding appointment of judges.
The judges who were appointed in SC from Sindh High Court and Peshawar High court could not reach due to delay in issuance of notification.
