Kashmir Solidarity Day today

ISLAMABAD, FEB 04 (ONLINE): Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed today (Wednesday) to express the whole-hearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.

The day is marked to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people and to draw the attention of the international community to the Indian atrocities in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In connection with the day, solidarity walks will be organized across the country and Azad Kashmir. In Islamabad, a rally will be held on the Constitution Avenue.

Sirens will be blown and one minute silence will be observed at ten am to pay homage to the martyrs of Kashmir.

Posters and billboards have been displayed around important Avenues, airports, and railway stations to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people.

State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on February 5 on Kashmir solidarity day.

As per holiday calendar issued by federal government at the inception of year there will be public holiday on February 5. All government and semi government institutions will remain closed.

All the educational institutions and markets will also remain closed to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
