NHA Board Approves Rs. 53 Billion in Road Construction Projects

Islamabad (PNI) The Executive Board of the National Highway Authority (NHA) has endorsed the revised PC-I for the dualization of the existing road from Faisalabad Bypass – Motorway (M-3) via Satiana, amounting to Rs. 7.102 billion, for approval by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) or the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).

According to official documents, the NHA Executive Board also supported the revised PC-I for the construction of the Lahore bypass from Kalashah Kaku exit to KLM to Multan road near radio station, approximately 40 km (from KLM (M-3) to Multan road near radio station 18.5 km), at a cost of Rs. 45.9 billion, for CDWP/ECNEC approval.

Furthermore, the Board recommended that the project costs should be shared equally between the Federal Government and the Government of Punjab on a 50:50 basis.
