Govt launches MCA for coverage of Feb 08 election

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (Online): Caretaker federal government has launched Media Complain Application (MCA) for coverage of February 08 election. Information minister Murtaza Solangi launched MCA to facilitate the local and international media persons and journalists in connection with coverage of February 08 election.

MCA will help register online complaints and journalists will be able to make immediate and effective reporting of the problems.
Addressing inauguration ceremony he said the present era is digital era. We have to improve our performance. Media complaint forum will be used through any browser. Steps have been taken for immediate redressal of complaints.
Any complaint about code of conduct will be addressed. This application has been prepared only for election.

We will consider to continue it after election, he added.
He went on to say the caretaker government came into existence under article 224 of the constitution. Government extended every help to Election Commission (EC) in election process
Only two days are left in election and over 120 million Pakistanis will exercise their right to franchise.

He pointed out election cells are being established in all the offices of PID. Care taker government has worked vigorously for holding election. Caretaker government is assisting EC.
People will elect new government by exercising their right to vote in election. Only elected representatives will run the country, he added.
