The old priest sighed softly and slid open the little window.
“Forgive me, Father,” she whispered, “for I have sinned.”
The priest nodded calmly. “Tell me, my child.”
“Well…” she said, “I’ve been driving men absolutely crazy lately.”
The priest smiled politely. “Vanity is a common temptation.”
“No, Father,” she replied. “I mean really crazy. Yesterday, my boss offered me a promotion just because I smiled at him. The waiter at lunch gave me free dessert and his phone number. Even my neighbor washed my car just to watch me bend over picking up the keys.”
The priest adjusted his collar nervously.
She continued, “And last night, I wore this tight little black dress to a party…”
The priest suddenly interrupted.
“My child… please pause for a moment.”
“Why, Father?”
The old priest swallowed hard and whispered:
“Because I’m halfway through your confession… and already forgot every prayer I know.”😂🤣
