The Day the Kids Took Over the House

Grandpa proudly cleared his throat at the dinner table and announced,

“When I was your age, children listened to their elders without asking questions!”

Eight-year-old Emma looked up from her tablet and said,

“That’s nice, Grandpa… but this house had a software update.”

Dad quickly tried to rescue the family’s dignity.

“That’s right! I’m still the head of this family!”

His teenage son didn’t even look away from his video game.

“Sure, Dad… but Mom has admin rights, and we kids are the moderators.”

Grandma smiled and whispered,
“At least they still respect us a little.”

Just then, little Tommy walked in holding the TV remote and declared,

“Family meeting! I’ve changed everyone’s bedtime because tomorrow is a school day… and I don’t want sleepy adults embarrassing me at breakfast!”

The grandparents sighed, the parents nodded obediently…

…and Grandpa quietly asked, “Tommy, may I have permission to watch the weather before lights out?” 😂
