Susan Thought She Was Turning Heads at Church… She Wasn’t Wrong

It was the annual church picnic, and everyone in town was there—families, grandparents, choir members, and enough casseroles to feed a small army.

Among the crowd was Susan, who had spent nearly two hours getting ready. She wore a stylish summer dress that turned more than a few heads when she walked across the church lawn.

As she approached the refreshment table, she noticed several men glancing her way.

Feeling flattered, she smiled and joined her friend Mary.

“Mary,” Susan whispered proudly, “I think this dress is making quite an impression.”

Mary looked around and nodded. “You may be right.”

A few minutes later, Susan caught Deacon Bill staring in her direction.

Then she noticed the church treasurer looking.

Then even the elderly choir director seemed unusually interested.

Susan grinned. “See? I told you. This dress is a huge success.”

Mary squinted carefully and suddenly gasped.

“Susan!”

“What?”

“You might want to turn around.”

“Why?”

“Because your dress is tucked into the back of your pantyhose.”

Susan’s face turned bright red.

“Oh no! How long has it been like that?”

Mary looked around at the crowd and shrugged.

“Long enough for half the church to notice…”

Susan groaned and buried her face in her hands.

“And nobody said anything?”

Mary smiled.

“Well, technically they tried.”

“Tried?”

“Yes.”

“The men couldn’t stop staring…”

“And the women couldn’t stop laughing.” 😄
